Indiramma Baata program is a grand success, claims Congress
Hyderabad Aug 11: The Congress party on Saturday claimed that the three day Indiramma Baata programme organized in Khammam district was a biggest success and got huge response from the people. Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party office, AICC Secretary and congress MLC P Sudhakar Reddy said that the during program Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy launched several development programs in the district. He said despite continuous objections by the opposition parties, the programme received overwhelming response from the people.
Meanwhile, Sudhakar Reddy demanded that appropriate compensation for the victims of Polavaram project. He said that nearly 220 villages under 12 Mandals of Khammam district would totally submerge due to the construction of Polavaram project. He said that enthusiasm has been imbibed in the cadres of the Congress with Indiramma Baata program and hoped it would continue further. He expressed confidence that the Chief Minister and PCC president B Satyanarayana would lead the party and the government with the same spirit in future also. Informing that nominated posts would be filled with the committed leaders of the party very soon, the AICC Secretary said that the Congress party would foil the attempts of the opposition parties to cause differences among ruling party leaders.
