Ramireddy sent to judicial remand till Aug 4 in cash-for-bail scam
Hyderabad, July 22 : The ACB court on Sunday remanded Dasaratha Ramireddy, the close relative of former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy, to judicial custody till August 4 in the cash-for-bail scam. The ACB judge remanded Dasaratha Ramireddy when the ACB officials produced him at his residence after his arrest in Tirupati on Friday night. Following directions from the Judge, the officials shifted him to Cherlapally Central Jail. Ramireddy is accused No 3 in the cash-for-bail scam. According to the ACB, Dasaratha Ramireddy was arrested in Tirupati on Friday and brought to Hyderabad on Saturday. The ACB sleuths said that the accused has allegedly supplied crores of rupees as bribe to judges and others for granting of bail to Janardhan Reddy. During the ACB interrogation, he has reportedly confessed that he had made the Rs 100 crore offer as part of bail for Gali Janardhan Reddy and pooled funds for the same. INN
