Fire mishap at Jubilee Hall after Pranab's presidential campaign
Hyderabad, July 1 : Fire broke out at Jubilee Hall, the campaign venue of UPA presidential nominee Pranab Mukherjee, shortly after Mukherjee and other leaders, including Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, left the venue. Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze and no injuries and casualties have been reported. Talking to media persons at Council Hall, Legislative Council Chairman Dr A Chakrapani said that the mishap occurred due to short-circuit in an air-conditioner. Stating that there was no loss of property or damage to the heritage building in the mishap, he said that he would order a probe into mishap to prevent recurrence of such incidents. Dr Chakrapani said that he would seek a report from the Archaeology Department over the damage to building and take up repair works as per its recommendations. Taking a serious note on fire mishap at Jubilee hall, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy ordered probe into incident and appointed senior IAS Officer Ajay Mishra to head the investigation and asked him to submit a report. He also asked Protocol Officer Ramana Reddy to submit a report over the mishap. INN
